Alicia Witt began performing music onscreen at a young age however, she's most well-known for her work as an actress. In addition, she has performed as a vocalist and songwriter. Her debut album in 2009, made public after having primarily played piano, highlighted her obvious debt to Elton John. Revisionary History was her first studio album. It was produced by Ben Folds. The Conduit is her second release in 2021, marking her first appearance as a producer. Alicia Witt appeared in the 1984 David Lynch adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune as Alia Atreides. The fact that she played the piano before beginning acting is no wonder she became pigeonholed in her early years as an actress. Though she appeared more on screen, her career as a musician did not start until the year 1995.
