Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin grew up in the field of space and has spent the last five years covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. As she covered the impeachment trials of two presidents, 2020's Presidential Campaign, and both administrations attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus The reporter also covered a range of other topics. Her extensive travels with the President and Vice-President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in producing documentary films for corporate clients which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter and three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
